I recently bought the Paragon Theme.

http://themeforest.net/item/paragon-creative-upscale-boundless-wp-theme/4118716?sso?WT.ac=search_item&WT.seg_1=search_item&WT.z_author=artbees

I have tried both the downloaded ZIP and the ZIP inside the downloaded version.

I’m using Wordpress 3.5.1 and have tried installing other templates which work fine.

I’m using the internal upload process within Wordpress and using Windows 7.

The message that comes up is

I have also tried downloading a new version of the theme.

Really need to get going with this project so any help would be greatly received.

Thanks in advance.

Hello nickelvery,

This is a general public forum. Feel free to contact the author of the theme for help. Are you sure you are installing the right .zip file ? You should also try uploading the theme via FTP, there could be some restrictions by your server.

All the best,
Kris

“The message that comes up is” what exactly? Did I miss something or did that not show up in your earlier post? Thanks

Thanks kriskorn and charlie4282 I have now solved the problem.

I used the FTP method and it worked fine.

I’m really new to the world Wordpress and really appreciate your help.

Is there a reason why some templates install better using the FTP method?

Thanks again.

There might be certain restrictions by your server, as I said earlier. When you upload via FTP, then there aren’t any restrictions and everything gets uploaded fine. There could be some flaws in my theory, because I am by no means a professional on this topic. Hopefully someone with more knowledge could englighten us. You could always do a Google search with “WordPress Failure Notice” and see what causes that.

All the best,
Kris

Thanks kriskorn, that makes things a little clearer.
