Not sure where to get some answers so I’ll write here. I recently bought some stuff from a merchant (I don’t name them for obvious reasons.) I’ve been doing business with them once in the past and they shipped the product and everything was ok. Now I purchased again and they tell me that they can’t ship that to my country. This has not been indicated on the site. It’s already been paid by paypal (no card, just the funds used). They asked me what to do with the order more than a week ago. I wrote them 2 emails since then , no reply for now.
They have a point in their ToS that refunds will be allowed in case of error on their part or lost items during shipping. But as store credit. I don’t need store credit I need my money back. This is not the case of error or lost merchandise, this is like a cancelled order and I think I have the right to cancel it. But I don’t know if they are really this slow or what. Should I open a report in the paypal resolution center? Will that hurt my paypal account? Because I’m using it for freelance business and I don’t want any complications or lockdowns. What would you do?
I would probably open a dispute case through PayPal. If you have the proof that you’ve ordered from them in the past and the product was delivered then that should be enough. More so the fact that their system allowed you to “check-out” even though they won’t deliver to your country.
I wouldn’t worry about getting any sort of negative feedback or account closure from PayPal’s side but it might take some time to resolve the issue and get your refund so be prepared to wait.
