Ok, now it hit me too.

Just recieved 2 emails from paypal stating that I need to provide the following information since more than 1000 euro were transfered into my account:

All information about my business (I don’t have one)
Copy of my ID
Proof of where I live
Electricity, gas and water- bills (??? what for)

I mean… WTF ??? Always used paypal since it seems to be the fastest and cheapest way to recieve money from flashden but now I’m not so sure about that anymore. I don’t want to constanly fear that I will loose all my money just because the guys at paypal started rolling their dice of doom…

How fast/costly are the other payment methods supported by flashden? Any suggestions are very welcome.

They asked me the same a few months ago. They’ve been asking every month ever since. I never did aything to reply and I can still make full use of paypal. The only thing is that you can’t close the account. Who cares? :)

I’ll be responding soon, though, because I’m setting up my own business at the moment (hurray! hurray! hurray! :D:X)

I did that too. PayPal really sucks in my opinion (people who withdrew on October 2nd and 3rd know, because they didn’t get their money :D)

Thanks for the replies. So the common consent is that paypal sucks?

Jurgenv dont you fear they might shut down your account with thousands still left on it? :) Apparently they dont need any reason to do this…

I’m also curious about direct wire transfer from flashden. Has anyone had experience with this option?

This is just a european law that forces paypal to ask you these details when you reach a certain amount received, I beleive this is to counter money laundering stuff and such.

If you do earn money from FD, I’m afraid you do have a business, even if it is from the desk of your bedroom.

There must be some sort of control, otherwise paypal would be full of drug dealers money etc…

I don’t personally think there is anything wrong with that. All they are asking is to confirm you are you, live where you live, have a legitimate business etc in order to use THEIR service.

Also, I transfer money straight to my bank account with no problem and with no additionnal charge, I’m in UK too.
