Hey MLDarlington,

The project you purchased states that it is compatible with CS5 and above in the attributes. And it makes no difference if you’re using a different operating system. If you are using at least CS5 and it’s not working, please file a support ticket. They’ll have the reviewers verify the issue and if the file is not working as described, they’ll make sure the file gets fixed and you’d be eligible for a refund.

If project is created in v10.5 (it’s cs5.5), that is the reason why v10 (cs5) can’t opet project. Author should resave file in cs5 (v10) format: file > save as > save a copy as cs5, and update an item. If author used “cs5.5 only” features, that can be a problem…

Authors are not allowed to upload cs5.5 and cs6 project project files. According to submission form, accepted projects versions are: v7, v8(cs3), v9(cs4) and v10(cs5).

Correct. It’s nothing to do with platform or OS.

Version 10.5 is CS5 .5. and cannot be opened with version 10 (CS5).

Apart from a refund or Dorde’s solution above, another solution might be to download the 30 day trial version of CS6 . This will open the file and is pretty much fully functional for 30 days.
