Ok, with a little help from the people around here, i found that wordpress does have a photogallery option available for posting. which is good. I like that you can upload many photos. My issue is that when I do that, it doesn’t align them in any usable fashion. I need to get them to align to the right of my post. I told the gallery to use 3 rows because I was planning on uploading about 7 images. figured 3 per row would be good. but when I view the post, the images are in the center of the post and this is not what I want. Do you have any suggestions?

You need to make use of these options for the [gallery] shortcode and then style it appropriately with css

itemtag the name of the XHTML tag used to enclose each item in the gallery. The default is “dl”.

icontag the name of the XHTML tag used to enclose each thumbnail icon in the gallery. The default is “dt”.

captiontag the name of the XHTML tag used to enclose each caption. The default is “dd”. For example, to change the gallery markup to use div, span and p tags:

[gallery itemtag=”div” icontag=”span” captiontag=”p”]

ok, I think I get it. But what if there is no gallery pictures uploaded. Is there a loop to use to check if a picture was uploaded or does it just default to nothing?
