Photoshop Problem

I’m wondering if anyone has this problem.

I am running PS CS4 on a Mac.

Quite often when I do “Save for Web” my Photoshop freezes up on me and I have to force quit.

Has anyone had this same problem or know of anything I can do differently to correct this?

I’mm using windows and i get that problem from i’m tryng to save a file thats more than 5000×5000px

just leave it work for some time. it will solve, save and your mac and cs4 will get back to you.

My file sizes are never even close to your size PA.

As far as leaving it; are you talking about 2 minutes, 5 minutes?

I’ve left it for 10 minutes before and it doesn’t resolve itself.

Sometimes it hangs for a while on my mac pro running cs3 when saving for web – but it generally always resolves after a while – not sure what causes it or why – but never had to force quit.

I always put it down to my external drive falling asleep but are you using an internal to save to?

Could be a bad part of the drive it’s trying to save to?

10 minutes is way to long…

Strange. No – I also use PS CS4 for Mac, and haven’t experienced those problems.

It happened to me few times but I didn’t had to force quit PS, just had to wait for a while.

I have to my internal drive yes.

I wanted to call Adobe and see if they have any suggestions but now they have made some “changes” to their call service.

Last time I called I was on hold for 1 hour and never reached anyone….

Happens sometimes with CS3 on my MacBook when working with bigger files. In my case I am pretty sure it’s a memory issue (I usually have Illustrator and several other programs running as well).
