Thought this would be a nice plugin for those wanting to use the Photoshop templates on Theme Forest, but don’t know how to code HTML and CSS …
From the Site Grinder website:
“Take ownership of your website. Effortlessly convert your Photoshop designs into standards compliant, CSS -rich webpages. All within Photoshop, and all with no coding required.”
I see that your site is made with SG2 , but in source code i see massive ID’s and js (like mouse over) attack.
This soft is good for newbies, but i think that hand coded xhtml/css is much much better, because it is much much cleaner.

Yup, it’s going to be a long time before software will be able to produce the same quality conversion as a human can. I suppose it’s nice for people just starting out but it doesn’t take all that long to learn how to do it yourself. There are tons of tutorials for it at places like net.tutsplus.com

I agree with all of you. Nothing beats hand coded websites.
However, some people either don’t know how to hand code websites or sometimes don’t have the time to do it. And with all the PSD templates on here, it’s a good solution for those circumstances.
Oh, and it isn’t my site. It’s media lab’s website.
Yeap, you got all yours 5 cents and you right. For people who don’t wan to learn and pay for coder this is best solution! And this software is in leaders.

I feel really bad for anyone who has to maintain or take over the code created by these software programs…poor souls. Educating yourself is much easier.
Oh I make my money from coding PSDs, I’m out of a job lol!
I’m not worrying too much, this kind of thing is never really a substitute for hand coding. I always get clients coming to me for recoding from software like this because it’s slow, buggy and just not nice to look at.

Same here. Serious website owners would prefer professionally coded designs anyway so there’s no need for us coders to worry.
