Guys,
I’m trying to get a php mail script to work locally and its driving me up the wall

I’m using XP and WAMP to run my localhost, all works great. My mail server is with MediaTemple.
I’ve altered my php ini with my mail server address and port, restarted and it still will not work
I then found this post and realised I too also have 2 php.ini files, ive made sure they are the same and restarted, still does not work
I then found this notice and went ahead and followed those steps and still no luck
Is there anyone here on XP with WAMP and (mt) hosting? If so, I really need to chat with you please cause this is getting daft now
Any help appreciated guys
Matt / MSFX
I’ve had problems with this as well…eventually I got a free webhost account to test what I needed to test…locally I didn’t manage to get it to work.
I have fixed this problem in the past.
Add me on google talk.

A quick Google search gave me this, which seems like it would solve the problem.

Do you have a gmail account? If so login in your web browser and look to the left, there will be google talk/chat.

If you are running on local host, then you do not need media temple or any 3rd party hosting account.
The php script will be able to send emails on it’s own.
Turn your firewall and virus protector completely off. Then post any error messages you are getting.
I use WAMP & MT. It works fine. You should Enable mails from MT account center.
