I would like to build a website which would show all themes from themforest.net I did check its API: http://marketplace.envato.com/api/documentation

It has provision to get data in jason format. But initially i would like to have full catalog of all themes on Themeforest.net and then i could check only for New Files/themes uploaded on themeforest.

BUT, I don’t see anything to get whole catalog OR one time full feed using API.

Can anyone let me know how do I get list of all themes on themeforest.net using API.

Thanks, Rahul

As far as I know, the API isn’t really designed to make a clone of themeforest. You can do it, by caching the results of a request, you could go through systematically by category (using the “search” api request) until you build up a complete list. All you really need are the item-numbers.

Please note, this could be against their policy for usage of the API and anyways, you want to build it in a way that won’t make more API requests than necessary.

If you need, there is a plugin on CodeCanyon called Cash Cow that lets you build an affiliate site easily.
