they are working on improving the marketplace usability

meanwhile you can use google

go to the comment area of the theme and copy the link in the browser address bar. make sure is a “clean” link without the “page=x”

then go to google and write the terms you want to search using quotes and then type “site:” without quotes, and paste the link you copied previously from the comment area

example:

paste this in google

forum site:http://themeforest.net/item/avada-responsive-multipurpose-theme/discussion/2833226

put search term in front then this term “site:” (above the search term is “forum” – replace it with what you want to search), then the address you copied. don’t add spaces between address and “site:”

Please. What is going on here? Doing Ctrl+F on every single page is absolutely crazy. Usually always works but just takes for ever. We just need someone to write a script that can parse all data from each comment page and export a list of them all to one page so we can Ctrl+F our way through existing comments before posting our questions. This would be your best selling item on themeforest.

If the page is indexed on Google you could also try using this bookmarklet .
  • Drag and drop Search in Comments ( can’t paste it here , get it from PasteBin ) this link on to your browser bookmark area .
  • Or you can go here and drag “Envato Search in comments” to your browser bookmark bar
  • Open your item page
  • Click on Comments Tab
  • Click on the bookmarklet
  • Enter your search phrase , you can use “exact search phrase” by using the double quotation mark

Not true. I designed it specifically to search all the pages of the items comments.

I was looking at an item that had 97 pages of comments and was not about to Ctrl+F every page so I built this tool!!

Send me an email via my Profile page with the item you are trying to search and your search terms.

I have had to block 3 IP address for abuse – hopefully you are not one of them.

Totally agree although I wouldn’t say it was “easy” to implement. There are far more complications behind the scenes for the devs than we’re probably aware of. I’m just gonna move this on over to site feedback so the proper folks will get eyes on it. :)
Hi Jami, can you also have a look at this thread please: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/viewing-themeforest-psds-is-not-practical/106207
