NO listen. create an image on photoshop, with the lamp shape but much bigger, to it apply the gradient im talking about, and then in flash, open the lamp you have now, and as you make a layer mask in photoshop you can make it there, then from behing try to scroll the bigger lamp image with the gradient applied to it, from down up, by creating an motion tween, :) i wish i could help you, but jquery, on my theme is driving me crazy :P

If you are seriously trying to make it look like a Logo, do this:
1. Remove all those gradients and shades.
2. Give a bold stroke to the design (around 2px or 4px).
3. Make inner fill separated from stroke using white/blank space.
4. Play around with a font of bolder weight and negative kerning.
Right now, the silhouette of your logo will look like a blob. I am not sure for what purpose or media you are creating this. But if you are doing this for print/stationary, try creating a flat version in B&W mode, with above listed changes. :)

Hey :)

as a logo/branding designer myself will try to look from my point of veiw.

firstly would be nice to know the “purpose” of the logo and where it most likley will be used.

to be honest i’m not great fan of web 2.0 although this is what people want at the moment.. having said that the most important bit is to make logo look good just in one colour.. if you can achieve that then all the “shiny” bits and bobs can be added on top of that after.. now its web2.0 tomorrow who knows web 3.0 but if your logo is great from begining it can flow with trends.

just take all the gradients and colours of it and have a look at it.. if you like how it looks then you have hit the jackpot :)

other thing is that using light bulb symbol with name creativity has become almost as cliche.. so maybe you can come up with something more interesting than that? have and look around you at things that inspire you and you think is as creative.. so who knows maybe you can find next nike logo idea :)

i also had a look on your moving logos.. it works better with animation however use colours that match.. don’t use red and then yellow.. doesnt make sense… try to go from one colour maybe the same red up to yellow or green…

oh well just read what i wrote and it sounds all negative :( but then you wanted an honest feedback.. i’m not saying its bad.. im just saying have a little more play with it :)

bugger Henry ;)

Hey,

Nice idea there! one thing that confuses me. Why did you use the analogy of a light bulb? Light bulbs don’t store electricity, they convert it into light.

Its all initial. I was thinking like creativity come from inspiration. And like when you get in cartoons, a bulb comes up when someone gets an idea. so I though it wud be like charging your ideas ;). but im making bwt three or four logos as initial idea then develop the final one
