(Locked) Please Help us, How we can collect money for a surgery!

My only hope is here.

There are a family who need assistance to maintain the life of a child from death. A four years child, suffering from a heart artery blockage, the surgery has been postponed from 18 Mai 2012 to 20 June 2012 we have only 27 days

We need about $13,000 to cover the expenses of the operation, we have collected some money so far (about $7,000) but we can’t find any other way to collect more…

Have you considered posting a video on YouTube? I was looking at kickstarter, but this would require sone type of artistic project that you were raising money for. I am brainstorming trying to cone up with a few ideas, and YouTube was the first that came to mind.

In any case, I am praying for the family and child.

Just brainstorming here… If the child is located in morocco, maybe you could travel by boat (or plane if it’s possible for the child or if it’s not too expensive) to a country where they will treat people before paying the bill. Maybe you could enter a hospital at the emergency section and ask for help without having to pay first? Perhaps if this is not possible in morocco you could travel to nearby Spain. I think if for example you broke your leg by skiing in italy they would treat you in the hospital before asking for the money. I am not entirely sure about this theory but it might be worth a try. Try to find countries with the most generous healthcare system.

It’s too expensive to go from morocco to another country, and we must have the right papers to do the surgery before paying the bill, but we haven’t.
