Now I actually wanted to change the description slightly and add a live preview, is this possible? I initially thought the live preview would be created from the 1.html, 2.html etc files I had created.

Congrats! You can edit your template description by visiting it’s information page and clicking on the Edit tab near the top. Currently ThemeForest doesn’t provide live previews but hopefully in the future. If you have your own form of hosting you can host the files and input the link when editing your template information and a live preview link will then be displayed linking to your hosted files.
