...here’s the guy!
Totally agree, Andy is a dude, he’s helped me a lot with my submissions as well.
And thanks to Cedric / SERFmusic for that link, will also subscribe!
The way for the success, often, passes through failure. A rejection, in most cases, is a chance to improve our own skills. According to MValentino, we take this opportunity to thanks all reviwers of AJ: we had nice advices when items were “soft rejected” and flattering words for some of our works. Thanks, from Cinquequarti, to AndySlatter, ADG3studios, Solidbeats and all other reviewers.
I’ve always found all reviewers to be polite, supportive and very helpful, we as authors need to remember that these guys also have a job to do and I think as more files are uploaded everyday it might get harder to get tracks approved as AJ raises the bar for quality standards.
I uploaded a track about nine months ago and i remember it must of been soft rejected 4 times and Adrian very politely guided me through the process, it was my own stupid fault as one time I forgot to attach the files, another the watermark was to low etc, poor Adrian must of had to listen to that track over and over but I only received positive comments.
It’s a hard job for these guys listening to tracks for hours on end, so they deserve a lot of respect in my opinion.
Thanks for the nice messages guys and all the tweets Andy
Keep up the great work!
Nice post Serfmusic, thanks for the link!
Hi Matt, sorry to hear about your track being hard rejected but i think you have nothing to worry about, your music is great! It obviously hurts to have a file rejected but that doesn’t make the track bad, just maybe not suited for AJ. Be positive I’m sure the next track you upload will be a killer!
@Cedric and Sim; Cheers guys for the compliments! It’s really appreciated. I guess I just wasn’t prepared for such a rejection, so came as quite a surprise! Oh, the joys of being an over sensitive creative lol!
@Andy; Cheers dude for the heads-up! I’ve actually imposed a self-hard-rejection on that track for the time being lol. I could instantly hear why it was not suitable for stock and needed to be fixed – but I found the problem to be with resonant string noises and hammer/footpedal sounds during low velocity parts; on the ‘ultra-realisitc’ Alicia’s Keys piano plugin! I believe this gave it a somewhat dirty sound cutting through in the mix. Sadly, the string resonance can’t be reduced and just switching it out to another piano sound just didn’t have the depth or dynamics, so I’m going to have a rethink and go back to it in the future. But thanks for picking me up on it and potentially saving me from one star ratings!
So guys, my tip of the day is be very attentive when considering sounds for stock music, especially when using these premium, realistic plugins. They may add artifacts that could seriously limit the tracks use, and therefore not be suitable for our customers on the whole.

Hi Matt, it would be great if you could raise a ticket, I think there is a misunderstanding!
