Hi -

I still like using flash even if it’s not alive on mobile devices… quick question, is it possible to code my html page so that it will show a placeholder image (like a jpg) in place of a flash header/.swf if it autodetects that flash is not enabled? Kind of like a background image that shows a still image screencap, if flash is disabled on the users’ browser (eg for ipads?)

thx,

k

sure, you can use JS to detect whether flash is installed and then render the HTML if it’s not there… that’s how most sites work, surprised you’re asking tbh… thought you had loads of sites etc

hi, thanks – yes i do, just don’t know what substitute code to use, to load for example header.jpg in place of header.swf if flash not detected
