Instead of price increase why don’t we have a price calculation tool based on who you are (student, small business, corporation, etc.) and where you’re going to use the music (website, radio, national tv, etc). Small guys can still license at $14. Nobody would loose anything.
Multiple license will solve this question and it must be implement.

Really, Victor? VERY big? For example?)) What we’re doing here? :)
Really. Don’t know what are you doing here, as for me I can withdraw only by Moneybookers, but many others works only with Paypal. But this is out of the main question)

Price is really low, but I think that even small raise can make bad effect. We Just need to have more licensing options. Don’t forget that now there are a lot of websites where customer pays monthly price and can download whatever he wants. I think that we have here on AJ a lot of customers with low budget and not so commercial projects, and 11-14$ is great for them.

Yes, but the price of old pack with 5 tracks just 25$..so the buyer can easy pay only 125$ for extended license..25$ per track..or 5$ for regular licence..what you think about it?

I do not think it’s the right time to raise prices, I repeat myself. I’m noticing a decline in sales, if we exclude the elite vendors, I believe that others are experiencing a significant decrease (after many months growing) I thought it was because of the Christmas holidays, but we’re in the second half of months. This has me a little worried and disoriented. I feel very comfortable in AudioJungle, I like the graphics system, communication between composers etc etc etc. But … I think something is happening. Raise prices now would be fatal … wait and see what happens in the coming days.

You have experienced a drop in sales?

“You have experienced a drop in sales?” actually my sales are low (between 6 and 13, and i started in august 2012) so i dont’ know if i can make a comparison. january is currently aligned with other months, maybe better. i have sold 9 items just in the first half of the month. I hope to go over 13 sales if the trend continues, but the sad fact is that i have sold 5 items at 3 and 4$ ... with 33% rate!!! so earnings are still low :D

It’s the first time that I read that my last sale was 7 days ago :( Anyway it’s a wheel… Maybe tomorrow the sales will start again.

I’ve been here for four months and I did not so much sales so I can’t judge if a raise in prices would be a good choice. It would be useful to know who buyers are: 90% privates with small projects on a budget and 10% big companies? In this case a raising of one or two dollars would be fair and wouldn’t hurt anyone.

Yes, the number of sales decreased dramatically in our case… Not sure about the reason for it, fact is that we aren’t able to compare turnover to January last year, because we have just started in April 2012 :-)

We’ll keep on exercising patience and are looking forward to see a little increase in number of sales again… But apart from that we hold the opinion that bumping up prices isn’t the answer to everything. What we need (and that issue has been discussed last year especially) is a significant change in the license structure here, 2 different licenses can’t satisfy the needs of our customers, apart from that AJ is the first marketplace where we have discovered such a parochial license program. It is obvious, there’s a many-faceted demand referred to the stock music / royalty free music market due to the fact that e.g. audiovisual projects become more and more complex and differentiated. It is almost impossible (and far to simple) to cope with that situation offering just two different licenses which extent or limitation of use is far from being generally intelligible (the countless threads started by (potential) customers who are obviously confused about the licenses that are offered to them prove that theory). That’s at least our point of view.

We would be very pleased to see the entire license program here revised and updated :-)

Yes, after the first week of January (when I was featured) my sales died; I’ve had 3 sales in the last 11 days. I’m sure things will pick up soon.

I think raising the prices of tracks by a small amount is a good idea, I’m sure it wouldn’t make a big difference to the buyers but it would make a huge difference in terms of profit for the AJ authors and Envato :)

I’ve went over my total sales from January 2012 in half the time so no way. And this is without uploading anything in over 3 months…

I am amazed that anyone would not want to raise prices. Wordpress themes are $50 now. Their prices went up but they are still selling like crazy. After Effects projects top out at $30. I think $14 for a piece of music HIGHLY DEVALUES the importance music brings to a project.
