I installed OpenCart 1.5.1.3 into a separate folder of my website as follows:
mysite/store
Inside this folder are the following subfolders and filers:
(catalog) (image) (system) (admin) (download) config.php index.php php.ini
The OpenCart installation is working perfectly. Where I am getting stuck is at Step 1 from these instructions:
http://shoppica.net/docs/index.htmlThe instructions tell me to upload all files from “FILES TO UPLOAD ” folder to the directory I have installed OpenCart in, which in my case is called ‘store’. The files and folders that are in the “FILES TO UPLOAD ” folder are:
(catalog) (image) (system) (admin) index.php
Obviously, copying the files from “FILES TO UPLOAD ” to the ‘store’ folder of my site will overwrite the existing folders that are already there from the OpenCart installation. I have tried this twice now and said yes to overwrite the existing files, and both times this did not work for me. After copying the files as indicated, my site stopped working entirely.
What must I be doing wrong? I also noticed that the installation instructions tell me:
If your opencart version is 1.5.x you need to replace these files:
/index.php /image/no_image.jpg /catalog/controller/module/manufacturer.php (for 1.5.0.5 only) /system/library/currency.php /system/enginge/controller.php
Do I need to manually replace these files? Shouldn’t they be replaced automatically as part of the process of copying all the files into the specified directory?
If anyone has any idea what I could be doing wrong, I would appreciate the guidance.

I don’t understand what you are telling me. Have I posted my question in the wrong forum?

yes this is a public forum.. Themeforest is a marketplace/outlet for many different theme authors its best to ask questions about a specific theme on the item pages discussion http://themeforest.net/item/shoppica-premium-open-cart-theme/discussion/235470 or contact the author directly from there profile page http://themeforest.net/user/ThemeBurn and some authors have there own private support forums like that theme author does http://support.themeburn.com/ the last link is the best place to get support… also make sure you read the documentation that comes with the theme before asking for support
