Again having problems with messages sent through the contact form on my profile not coming through… A customer has tried sending one twice and I just tried to send one as well, and nothing. Why does this keep happening? :(

Just to check some theory. You use GMail and your customer uses Yahoo. Right?

I use Gmail with Envato, yes, as when I used Outlook this happened quite frequently. Don’t know what email they use though. But like I said, my own test didn’t come through either.

EDIT: A second self-sent email just came through. Still no sign of the first one though.

Hey there!

Interesting. I’ve checked our system, although it’s looking like every attempted email since you changed from Outlook to Gmail has been delivered successfully, including the test message I’ve just sent.

In the off-chance that you do notice the issue continuing, could you open up a support ticket and let us know:

  • Date / Time email was attempted
  • (If possible) Username of the user that was trying to contact you

Also, I think the customer did have Yahoo. They set up a temporary Yahoo account and gave it to me publicly in my item’s comments section, so I’m guessing their main one is Yahoo as well.

Anyway, I’ve contacted support, ticket #18382.

Emails sent through your email form are generated by us, we simply use the email address on your customer’s profile as the reply-to address and leave you both to it.

Because of this it wouldn’t matter which email provider your customer was using. That’s only applicable when the email form recipient has Yahoo, in which case, there’s more chance of the email being blocked by our Mail app. :grin:
