How many of you have had issues getting proper support from theme authors?? Am I the only one?

I got the Wordpress “Ares+ Blog Magazine Newspaper Template” and I am trying to get the guy to help me with the email template in the theme not working and have been unable to.

And on top of that, he DELETED my account on the support site just cause he didn’t want to deal with my problem. Been waiting weeks for some sort of answer.

Support is not mandatory and these forums here are for authors to discuss about items and not for support. Authors can also refuse clients who want custom work for free, or because they are extremely busy with support, or just because they have something more important to do in their life.

I totally get that it is not “mandatory”. But honestly, if I was offering support with the theme, like they do, I would go into the persons system and fix the problem for them myself if I had to. That is just good customer support. I feel that they should not offer support if they are not going to give it.

Support is up to every author’s own decision. That’s what you agree to when you register on themeforest since it’s their policy. If you don’t agree don’t register.

Customer support is not covered with $35. Is as simple as that.

And if the customer asks to help him with small issue – it’s a help with theme logic understanding. And it’s ok with everyone. But if some theme hasn’t a functionality which one of the customers asks – ok, now he is an enemy and the customer asks for refund + low rating. I bet no one reads that privacy when register..
