I have been looking at project management software over the last few days. I have been checking out freshbooks, fanurio, quickbooks simple start pro and whatever else google can come up with. Do you have any suggestions of good software that is cheap or even free. What I want is to be able to make a new client, new project, make an invoice and have a timer that I can start and stop to log the time spent on a project. What do you guys recommend?

As a project management software I would recommend you to try RationalPlan: http://www.rationalplan.com/

But what you are actually looking is not a project management software but a time tracking software solution. So you might want to change you search terms.
