I was wondering if there is a proper time to upload files on VH. Obviously not all authors upload in the same time, all the time. The time when you upload a file will have any influence on the exposure time on the front page or there is not such thing as “good time to upload”? :)

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

Well, for me it’s best that item is approved on monday/tuesday, but that’s impossible to achieve because you never know how long will your file stay in queue, or you’ll be soft rejected etc.

I’ve read that many authors noticed a drop in sales when Birthday Bundle and Wordpress Bundle were live. That’s why I try to get my next file published some time after the Cinematic Bundle has ended..

I usually try to get it uploaded on Wednesday/Thursday in hopes that it gets approved on Friday so it will be on the front page for more than a day. But I never actually hold off submitting a file because of this… Whenever I finish the project I upload and submit that day.

Proper time for upload is when author is sure that project is 100% finished.
Be your own reviewer, be cruel :)

Buyers using search and they browse categories – I know that, sometimes Im looking for days at AJ to find right track for project.
So right category and tags are the most important.
Anyway trying to understand why some projects have more than 100-200-300 sales is wasting of time, definitely there are no exact rules…
