Why not to create some API that generate XML or JSON results for statistics per item, per user? Users would be able to use those data and think – envato’s servers don’t have to deal with all this traffic.

+1 for visitor counters on items.

That’s what I meant in the first comment. Why do you need to know which country gives you the most visits? How is this relevant to your work? You’ll build your product targeting people from specific country.. or what? I doubt it will be implemented just ‘cause it is “cool to have”..but who knows, stranger things have been know to happen.

I think they better fix the support system first. You can always use the analytics to track ur pageviews.. But you cant track the trolls who rate 1-star for a transparent PNG file that costed 1$

great idea… just adding an option if you want to view the counter for your page or not
