I’m sure theres a thread for this already, but with the vastness of the internet and the amount of places our music can go, is there any surefire way of knowing our “standard” licenses is being used properly? Does anyone else think AJ sure encourage client/seller communication more so we know where our music is going?

I’m only saying this because I recently revoked my option to sell extended licenses (because it’s unbelievably cheap..) but I still can be sure people aren’t buying standard licenses and using them how they please. Also I think most artists would agree, we like to see our work in action, and know thats it’s being used how it should.

I guess this was more of a rant than anything. Thoughts?

Without thinking too much about it, seems like a good idea. A simple way to benefit both parts.

Implementing some sort of client/seller interaction when a track is purchased. Even if AJ emailed you saying “Hey! (username) purchased your track! Check out their profile (here)”

The one showing the link to the project, (only for the author) or a simple feedback from the user.

That wouldnt prevent too much, but would be more than what is happening now. :)

Tunesat is a service that might be of interest if you’re making decent return on your library work (it costs money to search for your tracks).

http://www.tunesat.com/

I don’t use it myself, but I’ve heard it’s fairly accurate and saves you the hassle of searching for where your music has been used…

Hello all

I think we have to understand, that it is absolutely not at Envatos iterrest, to put clients and authors in direct contact by default. It’s like asking a retailer which sells your goods, to get address of his clients and sell your goods to them directly in the future.

It’s like on ebay and all other similar services, and that’s the reason why such plattforms exist ;)
