If I wrote a tutorial detailing how to implement Envato verification with WP Updates, would people be happy enough to implement it?

Couldn’t you just create a class for Envato verification? The whole point of paying for a service is that you do almost nothing in order to use it..

+1 I’d be happy to pay if that would work. How I imagine it:

Buyer get notification that update of theme is available, he clicks link and if it’s first time his making update he is asked to provide purchase code – he do it and his happy user of latest version – he doesn’t and he is reminded that this theme needs to be purchased. I don’t know if it’s possible to check via Envato API if licencse is regular or extended – but it would be also nice tool to check if theme is used on more than one domain. I’d be more than happy to pay for that kind of service – even if it would be more expensive that is now.

Correct. And download the latest file from envato + update notifications and you will have clients from here. If not it’s rather not worth payin for, from a tf authors point of view.

Maybe i’m missing something here but why should authors pay for a 3rd party service when the envato wordpress toolkit is free and able to download the update from themeforest already ?
