Hello. I am looking for a little help. I have recently downloaded the grid systems from here http://960.gs/ now when I open the PSD file the layer is locked, I unlock the layer and there is still a locked icon on the right of the layer. Difference is, that it is white instead of black. What can I do as I have read the guides on creating and uploading PSD files and all layers must be unlocked. :(

Both the Lock All and Lock Position are turned on. You just need to turn both of them off for the layer to be totally unlocked. Click to turn off these two like in this screenshot:
