Purchasing Trends?

To start off, I’ve uploaded my first WordPress theme along with my friend (he codes, I design) and we’ve noticed over the past 2 days of theme being on ThemeForest that we’ve had specific hours of purchases, and those hours of purchases are relatively smooth (about 1 purhcase per hour). The main buying times are between 6am and 4pm EST .

I’m curious if other people experience the same pattern in sales, and also if it has remained relatively baseline throughout the weeks. I ask this, because I’m wondering if we will manage to sell as much as we have in the past 2 days throughout an entire month.

Obviously for most websites and any traffic, it generally slows down within the first week. Is this usually the case with ThemeForest?

I noticed you call a lot of people kid Zonade… Any particular reason why? I’m just saying this because most people tend to find it slightly offensive.

When you don’t though, if it isn’t being featured anywhere (like on the homepage for the first few weeks) then it simply isn’t getting much exposure, and so you will see less sales.

Yea, I get this same effect on DeviantART when I submit my designs there. Since I’ve got 1,000 followers, I typically get my work viewed a lot more. I guess we’re pretty lucky then, considering this is our first theme and so far we’ve sold about 27 copies in a couple days.

It’s a very clean and functional theme, I think you’ve made fantastic start here, good luck with future sales.

Yea, I was thinking about at the very least modifying it though. I feel like it seems more of a screenshot from a design than it does a profile picture.

I’m guessing he spends lots of time on the porch yelling at the neighborhood kids to “get the hell off his lawn” as he shakes his cane at them.
