Is there a way to let the live preview link load in a normal window, and not in the live preview iframe?

You need to ask Orman Clark, seems his demo’s are switching from themeforest’s frame to a custom theme demo bar.

Always wonder how he’s doing this, only don’t know if hey will share this with us.

Put this into a blank html page :
<script type="text/javascript">
    top.location.href = "http://example.com/livepreview";
</script>

And insert it in your live demo field on TF. It will redirect to the demo without iframe.

When they load up the live preview can you not just redirect them?

Possibly automate it with header redirect? or something similar?

In php something like: header (“Location: http://www.example.com/livepreview/”);

I think it will keep the ThemeForest top bar if you redirect it with PHP . In JS you can change the location.href of that top bar with “top” and not “document”, so it will disappear.

I’m assuming this isn’t a problem as I’ve seen a few people doing it but can a member of staff confirm that this isn’t against any Marketplace rules?

I dont think so, because you can leave the live demo empty and add the demo link in the item description.

And if this is against the rules, well i will stop using live demo urls….....
