Q: Selling 2 theme, same design, same category, but different colors

Just noticed 2 new theme’s form the same author, same design but 2 different colors(one dark, one light). Just noticed these theme in the magento category. So can we do this because i think this will flood the marketplace if authors upload double theme in the same categories.

Or is this only allowed in the magento category?

Another strange thing i noticed about him, he have 2 items and sold only 1 time one of them and he have 4XX sells. WUT ?

Says he’s got over 10000 in earnt money, yet one sale? Huh?

No he has created more items which he took of the marketplace afhter a couple of sales

Which sort of makes sense, when they stop selling here I guess he can try to sell them somewhere else or maybe they were just too old and dusty.

I don’t know the details, but I find it hard to believe it’s allowed to upload the same theme but just a different colour.

part of the reason buyers choose one theme over another is sometimes to do with the themes colour choices (or skins).

But the guidelines clearly says that the theme will be rejected if there is a very similar theme to it.
