Envato. Guys. Are you OK with themes by authors who “tried including plugin core functionality in the functions.php but it made some bugs” or “creating a responsive theme but do not know how to test it”?
Are we Premium Themes marketlace yet?
I believe quality standards regarding the design should be raised and quality standards for code should be imposed.
Raising the standards will benefit both authors and buyers. We’ll be able to develop more awesome & truly unique products, which will sell more, on the long run.
I tried now to look for some quality guidelines on templates but with no luck. Maybe that can be a good thing to have and be posted everywhere for authors to see.
+1 Theme theme standard quality should be raised quickly as soon as possible
I wouldn’t mind my item being rejected a couple of times.
If it’s not something that’s going to benefit the end users on the long run, something really unique, not the same plain old, why have it on the marketplace anyway ?
I believe raising the standards will only benefit us authors. It will make us push harder and try going off the boundaries with our imagination.
I’ve sadly seen many of what I’d consider (take that for what you will) to be ThemeMonster quality themes instead of the often superior ThemeForest quality. That’s just my opinion but as a buyer, I’ve been made somewhat afraid of what I’ve been seeing. Please don’t pollute the forest.

Hi @dream-theme, quality of our items is important to us and we do our best to make sure every item reaches these standards. If you have noticed any items that have issues or are broken, please contact support so we can fix and resolve these problems.
We don’t want authors to sell items that are not 100% and it is within our interests to maintain a high quality of items across our sites. However, we also want our community to be able to ask honest questions, ask for feedback and learn from each other, no matter what level their skills are at currently. Thank you for your feedback on this issue.
