I have a question the author of this flash template has not respond yet (3 weeks by now). I have a gallery website template in xml written in AS2 . I want to change the galleries to a 3d gallery which are only written in AS3 . I know both languages cannot be mix, but, will the template in AS2 load the external swf of the 3d gallery without any problem? Or there is a conflict with xml files between both files?

No.
You can load (some) AS2 swfs into an AS3 application but you cannot load any AS3 swf into an AS2 application.
