So if i understood correctly, even only thumbnail change goes in the update queue and is not instant.
Yup.
Is there a reason for that? Is not a waste of time for you, reviewers?
You never know, people make mistake sometimes. There are cases where author submit preview image of their other items, or, in wrong sizes, or with copyrighted images etc etc.

But, good question.

^ There was a time when we were able to manage preview / thumb by ourselves, no need for review queue. Can’t remember any abuse on that, but well, maybe now this is too big and too competitive to let some freedom on this. Less time for you, Kailoon! :)

Would be nice if that comes back. I messed up the preview images few days ago, it got approved, when i saw it i went to fix it and it took a while to get sorted out since it had to be reviewed.

Here’s my opinion on this

Elite authors should get instant updates (no queue, no review). It’s not like elite authors are gonna risk their business by putting pictures of naked ladies for the preview images. I guess reasons like that are why updates go to reviews.

This is a win win situation, both for authors and reviewers. Authors will have quicker updates and reviewers will spend less time on update reviews.

Just my thoughts, would like to hear what other authors think about this.
