Hi,

Ok, suppose your domain is themeforest.net and you’ve Drupal installed in the root, so the modules should be http://themeforest.net/admin/build/modules of course after logging in as Administrator.

But it’s not what I want. I love wordpress (really do) but I need something more powerful.

I have a friend who might make a download gallery app when he’s done with this blog app (maybe app isn’t the word. Software would better suit it). I’ll just use that _

Check out YooThemes new Joomla component called the ZOO (http://zoo.yootheme.com) .. you can do almost anything with it if you have some php/css knowledge.. it’s NOT like K2 or CCK for Drupal, but each can accomplish certain tasks very well..

We use it on a site similar to what you describe, after a lot of custom type building.. but it’s awesome to use once setup.. makes the admin side of things – granted, after all the dev work :D – a simple task.

Also, the quality of code is very high..

so with drupal: views2 for content listing how you want cck for adding extra fields to content-types(they are for example blog content type, forum content type) filefield-for file uploads(it is better than the upload module that ships with drupal) imagefield for image uploads imageapi+imagecache+imagefield=you upload 1 image and create thumbnail, little small wtf you want photos and display them everywhere you like. for categories use taxonomy that is inside drupal and you override it with views2 override is just like css if you put displa:none and after or later you put display:block it will display block BUT REMEMBER IT IS HIGH LEARNING CURVE VERY HIGH if u are a person like omg this is too much i cant handle too much options(best thing ever happend) you just have to read(maybe buy a book if it is easy for you)and search at drupal.org they have faceted search for example you gona ask me now how to install a module go at do(drupal.org) and search yes:for moderation use modr8.module most of the links of the modules can be found in drupal.org/project/[name of module here] ALL THIS IN VERSION 6 OF DRUPAL im tired

for other people to submit you can make at the permisions page that anonymous or registered or paying members can create any stuff you want
