Just try some stuff out. Sit down with Photoshop and make yourself 20 avatars. Make them mad, pointless, whatever… just follow a train of thought. Play around with things and every time you like it, save a copy.
Then the next day look back and see if there’s anything you like. Don’t let it be important right from the get-go. Loosen up. Find your inner child. Have some fun.
