If I use pattern in my project, should I also have to include the .PAT file with the final package? or it will be included automatically in psd file? Thanks!

It will included automatically if you use in layer style. But I suggest to include .PAT file also.

Anything in a layer style, Gradients, Patterns etc are included in the actual style once saved so no need to include them. But of course as redeffect said it wouldn’t hurt to include the .PAT as well provided it is your own of course.
