We use this: http://codecanyon.net/item/authorhq-wordpress-plugin-for-marketplace-authors/889829 Works perfectly :)

Yeah, we use it as well. It’s awesome.

Had a few customers complaining about not being able to register an account but i’m pretty sure it’s an issue with the Themeforest API and not the plugin.

We use it also but we’re switching to zendesk because of the growth and future plans.

Authorhq is a fine tool but it’s missing some important functions inside the backend and front-end. The license registering and api integration is a great plus of the authorhq but forum control needs improvement.

At the end it’s just a matter of what you’ll are used to and which tool you love to work with.

Why zendesk and not kayako.com ? Don’t you want to have a self-hosted solution.

zendesk is quite powerful, easy to setup and now starting plan is so damn cheap that a self hosted solution is defo not worth the effort.

Damn right, 20$ a year with 3 agents is peanuts.

sure, but how are you going to check the purchase code? You won’t be able to modify the software to do it automatically. And doing it manually is real pain in butt :D

Your able to work with, third party api, Javascript Widgets. Everything is fully customizable, zendesk really has improved their workflow and things are a lot easier to create.it’s even possible to create custom apps which can be used within the support section.
