HI all,

we just purchased some mockup on GraphicRiver… When you purchase, page opens with title that you can download immediately or go to your download page. Below that there are some adds, no rating button. What I’m trying to say is that you need to go to your downloads page to rate an item. Wouldn’t it be better to put ratings on that same page so you don’t need to go on your downloads page? Currently buyer isn’t reminded or motivated to leave the rating…

So rating an item before you actually download it? :D

Buyers get a notification one week (or so) after purchase so they don’t forget to rate

I would never rate an item before downloading it :)

Of course not… But the point is when you download it you stay on the same page, so it would be nice that there is stated something like don’t forget to rate..

I always rate my purchases 5 stars, even before downloading them. I’ts easy to get back to it later if needed to revise the rating. Luckily, I never had to :)

Having a rating option on item page doesn’t mean it will be used before downing the item. Many buyers surf the item page after downloading and implementing. They may not go through the Downloads page all the times. So it is understandable to have an option here too.

Usually the GR, AJ marketplace buyers would tend to rate even before downloading! ;)

I too rate my purchased item before downloading it :)) And why not, the envato acceptance criteria is pretty strict so there is little chance of an unfit item passing the review. Plus I understand that authors are not required to offer support and I never take support into consideration when I rate an item. I’d like to have that rate button on the item’s page that I can use directly, after purchase.
