Today I received this review http://imgur.com/fwYocG9 I’m not sure that this user is just a noob or he is blackmailing me with the 1 star rating to customize the theme for him.

How can we get rid of these ratings? can we also have a flag rating for review option like we have for forum and comments posts?

Can you contact him? If you can ask him what is the problem. Maybe he will change it when you help him and maybe the problem is because he didn’t read documentation or something. But if he insist on customization then I’m afraid you don’t have chance. You can try to ask support for removing but that is not likely they will do that.

I’ve seen this before: 1 star rating, asking for support. Then…
If you help with the customization, if you do everything they require, they change it to 5 stars.
If you don’t, they will leave it as 1 star rating.

Definitely blackmail
Happens to me too, quite often.
:(

I haven’t found the solution yet. So I am interested too about the solution.

I’d be interested to see the result of what happens here.

Recently there was a thread about an Author contacting a buyer over a rating that they didn’t think was deserved, and the support team took that very seriously (as they should), however this should also be taken very seriously, this is a clear breakdown of the ratings system and needs to be addressed.

Funny thing is that there is no contact form on his profile page and he didn’t contact me in any other way.

I had similar situation few days ago and I wrote about that on forum. I had luck to find his website because it has the same name as his profile name and I contacted him that way.

Unfortunately I didn’t find anything relevant when searching his username on google also his profile page is blank and it doesn’t have the contact form.

I had a similar experience from a buyer, but he/she emailed me as well (at least there was communication). Sent over some help, never heard back, 1 star rating remained… Suppose these things will just keep happening, no matter the product/team/support. The nature of the beast.
