But I think Envato doesn’t care about this (I’m polite… Oh no: they don’t give a f…)
(see http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/please-improve-that-useless-rating-system-you-have-/40635)
- United States
- Has been a member for 4-5 years
- Exclusive Author
- Author was Featured
- Sold between 50 000 and 100 000 dollars
- Item was Featured
- Contributed a Tutorial to a Tuts+ Site
- Author had a Free File of the Month
It’s an interesting idea, but only the authors benefit. Buyers and Envato lose.
janintia saidThere’s no need to do that. Buyer can change their rating at anytime.
Maybe a “Pre-rating” feature that lets the buyer pre-rate the item with only the buyer and the author can see. So the author can “negotiate” the rating given by the buyer before the actual and final rating.
Is it possible to get an answer from a envato staff member about this annoying problem. We have been discussing this for more then 3 years now and still not one descent solution to this sale killing rating system.
Please remove it.

Hi,Question for Envato developers. Is it possible to implement a feature which let’s us see who rated our items.
This way we can provide NO MORE future support for these person who are rating items 1 or 2 stars because they don’t get help within 10 minutes.
Thanks

I don’t see how this affects user privacy? Ebay’s feedback system is entirely open and I’m sure a company worth billions would be privvy to these privacy issues..
I would really like to know who rated poorly so I can rectify the problems if they ever existed.

This would be a great feature. My question is why Envato is so closed to our requests? I haven’t seen a big update to the marketplaces for a long time and after what happend to the Tuts+ I think Envato should put their devs to work.
