OMG! A buyer sent a support ticket on Friday with ‘thanks’ as only content and today (Monday) he just rated 1 star for REFLEX saying ‘no support’. We emailed him, no response. This is pathetic. We had more than 10 five stars since it released here 25 days ago. Now the non-logical 1 star ruins it’s reputation in great extend.

This should be stopped. Envato please beware buyers who don’t understand this marketplace rating system. Our products are not to be abused by senseless people without any valid reason.

Total disappointment :( If someone from Envato can at least revoke that rating it will be a temporary relief. Is it possible?

Same thing happened to me for 2 items from the same author and same day a month back.

Envato should concentrate on this seriously.

You can see my item , I support high less than 1 hour.
But Some people without any reason , Rate me 1 Star for One purpose! Take Down My Item And increase themselves sells.

Envato with SLAPP law can helps , Defense Against Public Participation.

It is happening to all authors here, and nothing we can do about it. One of my theme user sent me several emails asking for few things on a weekend. On Monday I was about to write him an email that the support is provided through our dedicated support forum only as clearly mentioned on item details page and on support page. In the meantime to no surprise he gave 1 star saying author do not respond to emails and I was like whattt??? This should be taken seriously by Envato, why should our items appear like a bunch of bad code and design just because of these senseless ratings.

I have a suggestion for you. Set your item support through comments, In this case the customer can not claim that not received any answer from you! Envato can better identify Liars.

This has been a problem for a long time yes. We have all been there with the 1 rating for no reason. Hopefully something will be done about it in the near future :)

We received message on Saturday, that buyer will refund his money, because we wasn’t supporting on weekends. How sweet. It looks like buyer are trolling Envato Authors, with refunds and 1 star ratings. Probably they enjoy that.

I’m one of oldest in the market and since years lots of things has changed here but rating system. I deeply share your concern. Sadly there is no balance between positive and negative rates. 1 single star can ruin all your reputation and hundreds of work hours in a sec. We’re not even able to object or defend ourself as authors. No logic at all. + there is no way to get in touch with the one who rated 1 star. We deserve a better communication system as authors and customers.

Hopefully Envato hears us and be fair between community and theme providers. Abusing is very easy if someone intent to damage you.
