I always think about that some AD avatars could be designed better.. this way, they would sell more or at least have more clickys… just my opinion

You want to have the hover image effect for those thumbs that are from people you follow on TF, while you are looking at the AD homepage? Or maybe the AD flash files preview in a popup? :D

On AD when you hover over new items (general new items , not items from people I follow) you have a hover tool-tip with just a title from the new item.
On TF when you hover over recent items, you have a big picture of that item.

Ah I see then you do want to have the swf in a mouse over preview?

It should be just a static image , not sw. file (exactly as on TF). It it really hard to grab users attention with just a thumb.
That’s why you get those silly item titles (best template in universe ! , ultimate template , mega video player etc..).
I’m guessing this is very easy to implement.

It started off on GR I think, not quite sure why TF have it and AD doesn’t… it would be nice though… the code base is already there, surely a quick drag and drop will do :D

maybe it’s because some files have a picture instead of their “click the preview image”... and others have not for whatever reason

and some smaller files have the swf direct preview

so I guess that’s the logical reason for not having a preview like on TF… but I agree with dSKY, a thumbnail is NOT very much of space to get attention, that could also be the reason why some of them are so colorful
