Hi my fellow colleagues,

I was wondering if Envato would consider creating another page (or not even a new page, but just a new row of like 10 themes in homepage for this) for recently updated themes (not every update, but big updates like v2.0, v3.0 etc.).

I think that would place our themes in a spotlight when we roll out these big updates, like when we first submit a theme and it stays on homepage for everyone to see for a few moments/days.

Cause a lot of great themes are old and when they get big updates and face lifts, new potential buyers aren’t even aware of that.

What does everyone else think about this idea ?

Hi,

That’s a good idea but who should decide if the update is a big update or not? This way many authors will update their items everyday and say this is a big update to see their items on homepage…

Anyway, The idea is a good one :)

Cheers,
Iman

It is a nice idea but several issues, most of all:

That is not a lot of space to fit items and my guess is that there would normally be quite a lot to squeeze in there.

When you say ‘like v2.0, 3.0 etc..’ who is setting the guidelines and and what constitutes a major update? Surely this is dependent on the individual theme or file? Otherwise people will just be updating continuously to ensure more and more exposure.
