I’ve read a lot of suggestions, regarding self promotion, about having your own site/blog to generate more traffic/sales/followers… While I would love to create my own site and pay for hosting and manage all that.. it’s not something I want to pay for right now.. this is not because I’m cheap, but rather because I want to build up my income in order to budget that in.

Having said that, what are your thoughts on using a free service like wix.com? Seems like the templates looks decent enough to look professional, but I don’t much about the seo part of using a free service. Has anyone started off using a free service like this or have suggestions as to pros and cons?

Thanks.

Just for anyone else wonder the same thing and looking for a simple and effective site builder, for the use of creating a website for self promotion of your Envato items.. I decided to go with virb.com.. it’s made by Media Temple, which is an excellent hosting company.
