It totally rocks, congratz
Sorry to not be another one to write “Awsome work man!” in the comments section but although it is obviously neat, has a good colour palette and is squeaky clean…...
It is what I call a Tetris design.
Now I am not saying Patrick was born into the Flat UI era like I see so much of today, as he probably wasn’t, but all these new designs are so similar that there is no way to personalise this against Patricks profile.
I mean, it could be that he used ‘The bricks’ to build this photoshop file.
I know everyone will hate this comment ..etc .. ok I know, but I just wanted to offer my opinion away from the usual ‘awesome job, looks great’ generic comment you will find all over Dribbble and Behance.
I love this design, aesthetically it is pleasing for sure. The hard work that went into it is incredible and I am sure Patrick is very, very talented and a lot more so than me…...
but seriously, it is a tetris game of where can i fit blocks of minimalist text, icons and images with a lot of padding inside the block using a flat theme and outline icons.
And I know you are all going to start talking about how much UX went into the design research etc.. but seriously I can immediately see some areas of information that are together that are totally unrelated.
Flexible grid system… you mean Bootstrap, Skeleton or one of the other 3000 grid frameworks? Double sized images … oh you mean one for retina one for 72 dpi/ppi screen ?
to me it seems like people are just making these hybrid flat designs by stealing a bit from here a bit from there ad making these over generic 3 colour blocky designs, putting them up on a social ‘feedback’ site like this and then using that for their portfolio so that they seem ‘active’ on behance or dribbble.
I mean… read the comments below…
awesome. great work. awesome great work.
any feedback? opinions? suggestions?
i thought UX and UI was all about getting feedback and opinions to make your work better.
apparently Patric has made the perfect site and no one can see anything they suggest to improve lol. Sorry Patrick it is great to see your eye for detail and that you can use photoshop guides but seriously.. if flay UI had never been invented, would you have made this design? Why didn’t you go for a more challenging and innovative design style?
Nice ! responsive it’s a must!
wooah this is a pleasure to my eyes! Fantastic, damn.
