it should be instantly in your account, you will see a registered member in your ‘earnings’ page. in your ‘statements’ page you’ll see your earned commission. if this doesn’t work, looks like your client got referred by someone else or your link wasn’t correct.

here the infos from the affiliate programm page:

Here are a few important points about how it works: We use cookies to track people who have clicked on your link, so they need to be using cookies for us to track them

If a person clears their cookies then we can’t track them any more

If a person clicks on your referral link and then later they click on someone else’s, yours is the one that counts

If a person clicks a link, they have three months before the cookie expires. If they sign-up and make a purchase, then you earn the commission. There is no time limit on the referral program.

Commissions appear in your cash account just like item sales (find out about withdrawing earnings here)

Mhm… strange. Thank you for your answer, krafti!

Link provided to my friend was: http://themeforest.net/item/[item_name]/[item_number]?ref=myusername

Is it correct? I have no info in ‘earnings’ and ‘statements’ page :/.

Thank you in advance, cheers!

Your link is correct, but there’s one more rule to the affiliate program:

If you have visited one of the Envato Marketplaces before and then click a referral link, it doesn’t count

When possible, tell your referral to clear their cookies :) That should do it, unless Envato is doing some server-side tracking as well…
