I am curious to know

Suppose Tom is a Guy Who is already a customer to Envato

One day he needs some script and google it .

He Gets my article and gets back to envato .

Now as he is already envato customer , He will login and buy it.

But i would not get any Bonus onto it . :(

Is it right?

right …

ONTOPIC : I think even a 2% cut of every buy the refered user does, would be more appealing then 30% first deposit

In aug i referred a user , That time he deposited $80 and i got $24 from it .

Today hhen i went to his profile and saw his badge i noticed this.

“Bought between 50 and 99 items”

If the commission was on recurring purchases , I would have got so much out of it.

this is from one member , there are 600 by me .

Hope envato make some changes for so we can receive a good affiliate commission.

Thanks

If the commission was on recurring purchases, Envato would have got so much less out of it.

What I’m trying to say is.. refering someone hardly takes any effort. You’ve got to advertise, you build up a site or a blog, or perhaps participate in the Adsense programs, but still, once it’s set up, refered members come in with little effort. But now on top of that, you’d like to add another dimension of making money by saying every future deposit of the refered member should earn you money as well? Takes it too far, mate.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all up for earning more money, but I don’t think this is the fair way to go.

It would be very fair actually – they only need to cut down the % you get for each referral :) Even if it’s a much smaller % (i.e. smth like 2%), it would be much more motivating for an affiliate when he sees more deposits.

Or at least keep the system as is, removing that stupid rule that says you get nothing if a user has previously visited any of the Envato marketplaces...

Last, but not least, I wouldn’t say it’s easy to refer people – this referral business is saturated with tons of sites doing it and you have to really add value in some way, to stand out…

P.S.: not that I have lots of signups (or clicks for that matter), but:
