Rejected, rejected, rejected - Please help!

Hi you guys!

Now I submitted this theme for the third time and it got rejected again… I got a fairly positive argumentation, but still – rejection is rejection. After I changed what Kailoon said in the second rejection, I got the same reason when it was rejected for the third time.

So now I’m hoping you can help me with this…

1) Your template has a good start but, as we have high standards, you will need to make some additional improvements in overall aesthetics and aspects such as graphics, layout, colors, etc.

3) The template needs improvements in visual hierarchy primarily using typographic elements such as headings.

well I am no expert so dont really know if you can take advices from me, but the things i’d change for starters:

colors are blowing up my eyes too saturated, also background image suffers from strong compression

the icons in the center are nice but the emboss effect looks a bit plasticky

blog section seems to be nice, but you should get rid of 3d-shadow-effect on headings tho, makes’em blurry, also make’em darker if you want to keep so saturated background images

paragraphs need a lil bit more spacing imo

and the grey footer could use additional column, and also darker font/borders

aaaand last thing-get rid of the gradient in the copyrights, looks so 1995 ;p

keep on trying, you can do it cheers

there is still a lot of space for improvements though, what I’d do:

A) still, try to darken the fonts in “grey footer” , maybe change the headings color to even darker than links, so it will get a whole lot more readable. aaand maybe make padding:5px 0 20px; in #quicklinksupper

B)I’d get rid of rounded corners in menu, I mean I know you are trying to make it nicer but it looks little bit awkward between those straight lines. Other than that I’d say menu is nice, I like how you can move freely in second level dropdowns, i mean not in straight lines, I made the same on my recent theme small feature but makes it so much better to use, did you code it yourself or used some kind of plugin?

C)try to design a nice logo for this theme, also align the logo with the rest of the site – more to the left

D)I think you should work more on that slider, make it more usefull, not only for text etc. Also the button that slides down the icons is moving away to the left too much, when viewing on 1920×1200 resolution, to click it I got to move my cursor a lot, it’s not that great for usability maybe move it to the top like others do.

E)Does the background change depending on the hour you are viewing the site or I am sitting in my room too much?

F)Fix the validation errors

Hope I am helping, and not driving you to the cliff hehe, maybe wait for other opinions dont give up and keep pushing, you will get there, and you will get better while getting there

Thanks for your suggestions!! The menu is superfish! I tried to make the background change with daytime but it didn’t work out

I made LOTS of changes now, can someone look at it again? Cause I really seem to be the only one in the office who likes it that way.. maybe I am really blind for whats good and whats bad. This is really important for me..

Menu border is too bright imho.

Also either remove “search” text or the GO button. You don’t need both of them.

Make widget headers real headers!!! They look like normal text right now. make them bigger, bolder!

The spacing is uneven around post author.
