Rejected Template - Feedback Please

Well, I got my new template rejected, with the dreaded “Not unique enough” email. It would be much appreciated if you could give me some pointers as to what needs to be improved (and how), as I am stuck at the moment

Just my $.02:

- Try another stylized main menu, bigger and more eye-catching.

- Try different font, I feel overwhelmed with Bebas, League Gothic and similar ones when surfing the web these days.

I’d totally buy it if I needed it.

The dark version has problems with visual hierarchy in regards to headings color – all of them are too bright.

Wow… this is a great template and in my opinion is much better than some approved ones but this is life.

Don’t give up, make improves and try again.

I totally agree with agurghis – absolutely fantastic template, and I’d buy it if I could. Bad decision IMHO .

This is my second favorite reason for rejection.:-D

IMHO they would like to see more options, like color variation, more features etc. You should ask the reviewer. Remember, it’s not what about you like but what he likes.

As always the rejection email hits you hard at first, and it means a lot when you see that people generally like what you’ve created.

@cmt – Maybe I’‘l ditch the dark version all together, as I had problems with it form the start…

@seal – Haha, so far this is my favorite reason, as it literary ties my hands. I’ve asked for a more detailed opinion from the reviewer, we’ll see what will it bring to the table.

Is there something else that’s screaming for improvement? Any comment would be appreciated

Maybe add some margin between ‘Aspiration’ and ‘We Bring Your Ideas to Life’ text in footer. Also a subtle shadow on navigation text would be nice. These are just details, but this theme as I sad looks excelent

No, that is not a reason here. A theme that copied everything from us was accepted… and we cannot do anything.
