Hello! We have a bunch of small changes coming up across the marketplaces, which we want to share with you, but in a way that’s manageable (so we can keep pumping them out! :) ).

So, starting today, we’re trialing a new communication approach for our smaller, lower impact releases: a locked forum post in the Notices forum with a brief overview of what’s changed.

First up: a new “Install Theme” button on the downloads page, launching today. This is an experiment to understand the interest in installation services and the impact offering these has on the buyer’s post-purchase experience.

  • “Install Theme” button appearing next to the “Download” button for WordPress themes
  • Button links to Studio theme installation services page
  • Button replaces “Get Hosting” button for WordPress themes
  • “Get Hosting” button remains for other relevant items
