Reminder application suggestion wanted

Since I’m having memory losses every now and then, I need something which would manage events and alert me, and which would have something like sticky notes etc. for writing down tips or ideas on desktop. I would prefer it to be free so just let me know if anything like this exists. Also, it shouldn’t have malware, since I don’t want myself ended up in system32.

So folks, let me know if you believe there’s an application which matches the above features.

If you use Windows Vista+ (I don’t think Windows XP has it), there are sticky note options available for the Sidebar.

nope. I have XP SP2 . I’m sure I would’ve known that if I owned vista.
