That’s insane. You don’t even have a 1 Star rating on that Item (about 1 year old), and some noob can ruin that.

One time, I got a 1 star rating because a buyer begged me to send the photos, I have used for preview, for free to him. I explained him, that I have purchased them for a few dollors on depositphotos.com and that I don’t have the right to give them away. At other times, I got a one star rating, because photos were not included in the download file, and one rated low, because my file was InDesign and he wanted Photoshop. So I know some reasons :-)

most of the buyers don’t know, that authors support isn’t included in the items they purchased – it’s the author decision to give support and what will be supported for free
and most of the authors give support for free

but sometimes, ... if you give buyers a small finger they want the whole arm …

dealing with moron customers is always a pita… there’s always gonna be “that guy” lol… I like the idea of adding a requirement that 1-star or 2-star ratings, they have to at least post a sentence as to why, and that the author can appeal and have that removed, if it’s something stupid like “they didn’t include stock photos with the template”, or “the after effects CS5 project won’t load in my six-year old CS3 software, or “that HTML template won’t install in WP” or… you get the idea..

and from a coding standpoint, maybe if they enter a 1- or 2-star rating, before letting them officially enter it, have the envato form submitter popup a window saying “are you sure? did you check the Requirements carefully prior to purchase?”

or similar “noob alert” lol
